FOCUS!

Our first priority is player development, whether its a new player or experienced player. Our coaches have both coached and played at the highest level, including D1 and Professionally. Our unique curriculum is designed around getting players significant reps in all aspects of the game. The bottomline, we will make you a better player regardless of your skill level today!

Coaching!

Most recreational leagues like flag football, basketball, and soccer rely on volunteer coaches. Volunteer coaches are the backbone of youth sports, but lacrosse requires knowledgeable experienced coaches to help start players on the right track. As players improve a higher level of experience and knowledge is needed to help improve IQ and technique. At United we provide the very best lacrosse coaching we can find for each age level. You don’t need to coach….you can be a parent! Our Director of Lacrosse, Chris Malone vets each coach to make sure they meet his high standards for coaching. So when you register to play in one of our leagues, your son will be entered into our curriculum with experienced coaches.

Structure!

Each age division has a lead coach, who is charged with practice plans and roster assignments. The lead coach is supported by several coaches to make sure we have a coach for every 7-8 players.

Coaches divide players by skill (competitive vs developmental) and then assign players to teams to ensure competition is balanced. We want games that are close, because the tougher the competition the more it forces players to keep improving. Since we are development focused, players can be moved between divisions to ensure they are being challenged at the right level. So a player could start in the development division and get promoted to the competitive level.

FORMAT!

Our leagues include 10 practices and 6 gamedays. So 21 hours of lacrosse instruction. The United curriculum ensures every player receives a ton of reps to build lacrosse skills, along with developing their athleticism. Kinders have 8 1hr practices, with games built into drills. Our 6U, or Kinder program, only runs in the Fall and Summer sessions.

Competiti0n

  • Development Divisions

It all begins with putting players in an environment to learn and develop lacrosse skills and IQ. New and newer players focus on mastering the basics while progressing their skills to enable them to compete in live action. Development level players should be working hard toward being promoted to the competitive level division.

  • Competitive Divisions

The players in our competitive divisions not only have higher level skills, but work hard to improve every practice. Competitive level players invest in their fun by giving great effort and being coachable. Coaches design practices to increase decision making speed and game IQ at this level. Coaches have higher expectations and hold players accountable. Games in this division are fast and physical.

Improve faster. Play faster.
